Trojans Fall To Lions

UA-Little Rock Trojans baseball team (10-19) took on UA-Pine Bluff Golden Lions (8-19) in Little Rock Tuesday night. With just four hits, two coming from Trojan Dalton Thomas, they couldn’t get the win with the game ending 2-1.

“We pitched like we should have won the game, but when the team has a few minor mistakes, those will cost the game when the other team did better with the ball control,” said Trojans Coach Curry.

The Golden Lions played a very solid game. The pitching was outstanding. After gaining the lead they only allowed one hit in four innings. They wanted the win and earned it after the performance they played.

“I’m so proud of the way these young men have played the game today. No errors, four hits allowed, seven on them, we came here wanting a win and we are leaving here with it,” said Pine Bluffs Coach Carlos James.

Trojans will play Sun Belt Conference foe Texas State this Friday, April 17, in a three-game series.
